Sunday's Worship Preview
Read Mark 6: 14-44 This strange story recounts the grisly death of John the Baptist, a young dancing girl, and a venomous grudge that turns deadly all in the context of a lavish banquet. Following this account is the story of the feeding of the five thousand – a very different kind of banquet in which the poor and the downtrodden in the open fields are fed with abundance. What kind of banquet table is set up in your life? One that takes life or one that multiplies life? Come and see the abundance of God’s banquet table in worship this Sunday. |

Exploring the Bible TogetherTUESDAYS @ 6:30pm Join Pastor Jake Fain, Deacon Andrew More, and Pastor Paul Miller as we explore the Bible together. To check out this week's episode in our new video series, click on the title above. In the opening pages of the Bible, God gives humanity a gift that they quickly forfeit—eternal life that comes by eating from the tree of life. In this video, we explore the meaning of this powerful image and how sacred trees play a key role throughout the story of the Bible. It all leads up to Jesus himself, who died upon a tree so that he could become a new tree of life for all humanity. Go to https://bibleproject.com Exploring The Bible Zoom Bible Study
Each Tuesday from 6:30 pm – 7:00 pm we will have an open discussion of one of the Bible Project videos. This week it will be helpful, but not required, for you to watch the YouTube video above, Tree of Life. We’ll spend about 30 minutes unpacking the video and opening it up for questions, insights, comments, etc. This link will work for all subsequent Tuesdays, so keep it handy. Anyone is welcome to join us! No experience with Bible study (or even the Bible) is necessary! Join us as we explore the Bible together!

Three Expressions of the Church
We are part of one church body organized in three expressions — congregations, synods, and the churchwide organization. Each expression has its particular functions but all three together share a common mission of doing God’s work in the world and proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ. Together, they ensure a solid foundation of leadership, active involvement in communities, opportunities for dialogue and diverse perspectives, creative partnerships, and support for members and ministries of the ELCA.
