Sunday's Preview
Read Ephesians 4:25--5:2 We live in a world rife with anger. Pick up the newspaper and your blood pressure begins to skyrocket. Read a comment on social media and you’re ready to rumble. The early church was not all that different than today’s church. The movement of Jesus traveled through people and their complex relationships including anger. Is anger eating away at your soul or others you know? Join us on Sunday as we hear scripture and the way to deal with anger in healthy ways. |
Sunday Worship ScheduleAugust 8, 2021 Welcome back to in-person worship each Sunday at 10am. Our summer schedule will continue with one worship experience in two different ways. You may join us livestream or come and be together in the sanctuary as it continues to be rebuilt.

COVID UpdateRising Cases Covid hospitalizations are rapidly rising in our region. We have seen a significant spike in the positivity and hospital occupancy rate. Our guidelines stipulate if we reach a 15% hospitalization rate in the area, we will refrain from in-person activities. As of August 2nd, our hospitalization rate is at 12.18%. Therefore, we are still meeting in-person; however, should we reach the threshold, the church will send out a special message informing the congregation of our return to phase 1 safety protocols. In the meantime, we are not prescribing any mandates, but we ask that you stay vigilant for both you and your neighbor as you live out the great commandment to love. You may wear masks or practice physical distancing and of course remember the vaccines are available, but children under 12 are still ineligible. The Delta variant is a different strain which is much more contagious and transmissible even through vaccinated persons. Our church council will be meeting this week to make further preparations. |

Three Expressions of the Church
We are part of one church body organized in three expressions — congregations, synods, and the churchwide organization. Each expression has its particular functions but all three together share a common mission of doing God’s work in the world and proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ. Together, they ensure a solid foundation of leadership, active involvement in communities, opportunities for dialogue and diverse perspectives, creative partnerships, and support for members and ministries of the ELCA.
