Sunday's PreviewBetween Heaven and Earth Read Revelation 21:1-6a and John 11:32-44 All Saints Day follows All Hallows Eve or what we truncate to – Halloween. It is the day of remembrance of those saints of God both the living and the dead and now living in Christ. We commemorate this All Saints Sunday remembering that there are beginnings, endings, and new beginnings in the resurrection power of Jesus. Tears are holy; lament is healing – because in so doing God reveals a deeper truth of hope. Join us on this Sunday as we celebrate God’s gracious hand and the communion of saints together in Christ. |

Breakfast is ServedSunday, November 21 @ 9:00am Come join us for a full breakfast and some good conversation. MayaWorks will be here so you can eat and shop! |
MayaWorksSunday, November 21 @ 9:00am MayaWorks will set up their artisanal products for sale in the Narthex on Sunday, November 21. Today MayaWorks partners with over 125 artisans in six communities along the Central Highlands of Guatemala. The organization has two offices, one in Guatemala staffed by local women who work directly with the artisans and one in Chicago that distributes and markets the product. MayaWorks helps women transform their skills into a means of financial support for their families by creating a market for the traditional arts of Maya artisans. Textile products are distributed within wholesale and retail markets and are also sold by U.S. women in their local communities. At its core, MayaWorks is about creating work for women so that they can financially support their families and become fully contributing members of their communities. Giving Guatemalan women an opportunity to earn an income from their skills gives them self-confidence and hope for themselves, their families and their communities. For U.S. women, reaching across borders to give a hand up to help women in developing countries allows them to participate in economic justice on a global level. For more information about MayaWorks visit their website @ www.mayaworks.org |

Three Expressions of the Church
We are part of one church body organized in three expressions — congregations, synods, and the churchwide organization. Each expression has its particular functions but all three together share a common mission of doing God’s work in the world and proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ. Together, they ensure a solid foundation of leadership, active involvement in communities, opportunities for dialogue and diverse perspectives, creative partnerships, and support for members and ministries of the ELCA.
