Sunday's PreviewA Surprising Turnaround Read Acts 5: 27-32 The disciples had run away from Jesus and abandoned him in his time of need. After his crucifixion and death, they find themselves locked behind closed doors living in fear that they would suffer the same fate. But in the Acts of the Apostles we hardly recognize these same apsotles who are boldly proclaiming the resurrection of Jesus in the public places and to the relgious authorities. What makes someone change so much? Join us on Sunday at 10am as we witness this surprising turnaround. |

Peace Day TrippersTour the River Whey Creamery tomorrow, Thursday, April 21 SAY CHEESE! It's not too late to sign up! The Peace Day Trippers are going to visit and tour the River Whey Creamery in Schertz on Thursday, April 21. River Whey cheeses have been in production since October 2014 and are available at HEB Central Markets and Whole Foods Markets all across Texas. This homegrown company says, "We believe in great Texas dirt which makes great Texas grass and great Texas milk. It's our job to turn that into great Texas cheese. We are not just farm to table, but Earth to Soul with a true belief in sustainability and transparency." The tour cost is $20 per person. We are limited to twenty people and there are still spots available. Contact Becky Voges at 830-587-4003 if you would like to attend. We will be divided into two groups and will see the creamery production and pack and ship areas. We will also learn about the company and their interesting story and will see their state-of-the-art cave system where certain cheeses are aged. After the tour, we will be offered cheese samples for tasting. We will meet at the church at 9:15 to carpool to the Creamery. Or, if you prefer, meet us at the Creamery at 9:45am for the 10:00am tour. Their address is 17361 Bell North Drive, Schertz 78154. We will have the option of meeting back in New Braunfels for lunch and more fellowship! |
Exploring the Bible TogetherZoom Bible Study every Tuesday from 6:30pm -7:30pm In our “Exploring the Bible Together” study, we meet by Zoom as a small group for about 45 minutes each week. Our study covers a wide range of topics, examining more closely the history, content, context, development, message, and interpretation of the Bible. As we do this, we grow in our understanding of the relevance and application of the Bible for our lives today.
Anyone is welcome to join us - no experience with Bible study (or even the Bible) is necessary!

Three Expressions of the Church
We are part of one church body organized in three expressions — congregations, synods, and the churchwide organization. Each expression has its particular functions but all three together share a common mission of doing God’s work in the world and proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ. Together, they ensure a solid foundation of leadership, active involvement in communities, opportunities for dialogue and diverse perspectives, creative partnerships, and support for members and ministries of the ELCA.
