***Stewardship Snippet - June 26, 2022***
"For the whole law is summed up in a single commandment, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'"
Galatians 5: 14
A generous heart is built on the firm foundation of God’s abundant love, but it doesn’t stop there. Once you begin to see through the lens of love, everything looks different. Let love be your language, your dance of dissidence, and the song of your generous heart.

Mission Spotlight of the Month - June 26, 2022GraceWorks (Service Camp for Peace Lutheran Youth) Peace will be collecting donations for GraceWorks this Sunday, June 26. GraceWorks is a week combining local service projects, daily worship, and opportunities for faith learning. It's also just a great week for youth to enjoy being together, hanging out, and growing closer at a youth group! The idea for GraceWorks started when Deacon Andrew served at his last congregation in South Carolina. The youth at that congregation decided that instead of going on a mission trip to another part of the country/world, they wanted to do more right in their own backyard, and really get to know the local community needs and the agencies that serve those need. GraceWorks began in Columbia, South Carolina with just a handful of churches. It has grown to three different regions across the state and dozens of churches. Deacon Andrew brought the GraceWorks model to Texas! The pandemic forced this to be put on the back burner for the past two years, but now they are finally ready to launch GraceWorks here this summer of 2022, taking their first step forward with this model this summer with Peace and St. Andrew. Donations will be dedicated to supporting the various service project initiatives that our Peace Lutheran youth will engage in that week. More information regarding their service projects initiatives will be shared with the congregation on Sunday, June 26. In Person Worship Service attendees can drop off their donation at that time. Livestream Worship Service attendees can drop off donations in the church mailbox or mail their donation directly to the church. Please make your check out to Peace Lutheran Church and put Mission Spotlight in the memo. ***Giving online is always a great option as well. Click the button below or go to the church website, peacenb.org, and click on the "Give" Tab. Choose Give from the dropdown menu and follow the instructions. Please remember to designate Mission Spotlight in the memo.*** For more infomation visit:

Exploring the Bible TogetherZoom Bible Study every Tuesday from 6:30pm -7:30pm In our “Exploring the Bible Together” study, we meet by Zoom as a small group for about 45 minutes each week. Our study covers a wide range of topics, examining more closely the history, content, context, development, message, and interpretation of the Bible. As we do this, we grow in our understanding of the relevance and application of the Bible for our lives today. Summer Bible Study on The Apostle Paul: We invite you to journey with us this summer as we follow the Apostle Paul, learning about how the early church was planted and grew from a small sect within Judaism in the 1st century to our beloved faith practiced by billions of people through today. In May, we began a 16 week study of the Apostle Paul - the person, the missionary and the letter writer - based on the book, The Greatest Story: Paul (Augsburg Fortress), This study does not require you to purchase the book, but it is helpful. Anyone is welcome to join us - no experience with Bible study (or even the Bible) is necessary! Click here to join: Tuesday Zoom Bible Study |

Three Expressions of the Church
We are part of one church body organized in three expressions — congregations, synods, and the churchwide organization. Each expression has its particular functions but all three together share a common mission of doing God’s work in the world and proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ. Together, they ensure a solid foundation of leadership, active involvement in communities, opportunities for dialogue and diverse perspectives, creative partnerships, and support for members and ministries of the ELCA.
