Sunday's Worship PreviewHeartwrenching Each summer I go into my garage and try to clean it out. I wonder, “Where did all this stuff come from? It’s only been a year!” We live in a culture which continues to consume and gather more and more stuff. To help put the total number of U.S. self-storage facilities into perspective, it’s the equivalent of all the U.S. combined count of Starbucks, McDonald’s, Dunkin’ Donuts, Pizza Hut and Wendy’s restaurants! In addition to commercial and industrial areas, keep an eye out for self storage facilities along highways and freeway on and off ramps – they are everywhere! But what should we be storing? Jesus teaches us a different way to live – a way of the richness of extravagant generosity and trust in the Lord. Join us at Sunday morning worship to hear how God wrenches our hearts to share in God’s gracious kingdom. |

Peace's Little PantryOpen and ready for service Peace's Little Pantry is open and ready for service on Peace's front lawn next to the driveway. There is a bench under the tree, an ice chest with bottled water and a wooden prayer box for prayer requests. A Dedication and Ribbon Cutting for the Little Pantry will be held on Sunday, September 11 as part of Peace's Ministry Fair Day. We have been blessed by many generous donations to help us get started with our new ministry. We have contacted local agencies and churches to let them know about the Pantry. Our "Pantry Angels" will pick a month to monitor the Pantry, checking the pantry and restocking it as needed. Special "thank-you's" to Dave Keeler and Wil Voges for bulding the Little Pantry and John Kassel and Dave Thomas for placing it in the ground in the sweltering July heat. |

Exploring the Bible TogetherZoom Bible Study every Tuesday from 6:30pm -7:30pm In our “Exploring the Bible Together” study, we meet by Zoom as a small group for about 45 minutes each week. Our study covers a wide range of topics, examining more closely the history, content, context, development, message, and interpretation of the Bible. As we do this, we grow in our understanding of the relevance and application of the Bible for our lives today.
Summer Bible Study on The Apostle Paul: We invite you to journey with us this summer as we follow the Apostle Paul, learning about how the early church was planted and grew from a small sect within Judaism in the 1st century to our beloved faith practiced by billions of people through today. In May, we began a 16 week study of the Apostle Paul - the person, the missionary and the letter writer - based on the book, The Greatest Story: Paul (Augsburg Fortress), This study does not require you to purchase the book, but it is helpful.
Anyone is welcome to join us - no experience with Bible study (or even the Bible) is necessary!

Three Expressions of the Church
We are part of one church body organized in three expressions — congregations, synods, and the churchwide organization. Each expression has its particular functions but all three together share a common mission of doing God’s work in the world and proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ. Together, they ensure a solid foundation of leadership, active involvement in communities, opportunities for dialogue and diverse perspectives, creative partnerships, and support for members and ministries of the ELCA.
