Sunday's Preview
Read Matthew 25:1-13 Jesus tells a parable about 10 bridesmaids who are waiting for the groom to show up. Some are ready when he comes; some aren’t. Living in a pandemic feels like we are doing a lot of waiting. What are you waiting for? Is it to get back to normal? Or is it to be awakened to see Christ coming even in the darkness? As I write this teaser, I am unaware of the election results. Are you waiting on who will be the leader of the nation? Or are you waiting on who will be the leader of your entire being – the Messiah? How might we stay prepared for Christ to be the true leader of our lives? Join us on Sunday at 8am or 10:30am worship, and let’s prepare for the true king. |
Stewardship 2021
The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by the Son all things were created, in heaven and on earth… all things were created through him and for him” (Colossians 1:15-16). Click HERE for a video message What is Stewardship? It is the recognition that all creation belongs to God and we are entrusted with God’s gifts to manage faithfully. Over the next few weeks we’ll hear Jesus sharing parables of staying vigilant and using our gifts for the glory of the Master. Take a moment to fill out this Online Stewardship Pledge Form Stewardship is about the mission and practice of our faith together. The gifts of your heart, mind, soul, and strength ensure that God’s mission is shared. Jesus answered, "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'" Mark 12:30 This year we ask you to reimagine what you are passionate about and envision how you might grow in this time of change. Together as God’s church, we continue to reimagine how we might use our gifts in new ways to stay connected and to connect others to the deep, vibrant love of God. A congregational mailer will be sent out in addition to this e-blast, but please consider your gifts for ministry as the church. You can fill them out online or return the mailer by Nov. 15th. We dedicate our gifts before the Lord on Sunday, Nov. 22nd. God indeed entrusts us with His gifts of creation. How will you manage, tend, and multiply the gifts for the kingdom of God? |
