Peace Feast - February to MaySign Up Today! Do you ever wonder who is in your congregation? Like really wonder who they are? Not just their names. Here is an opportunity for you to share a meal and get to know one another at Peace Lutheran. For the next four months - February, March, April, and May you will have that opportunity. When you sign up (only have to sign up once) you will be assigned to a small group. The host (and you can sign up to be a host-the host organizes the group) will gather your group together for a meal (potluck, restaurant, etc.-your group's choice). Come on the date and place you all agree upon and enjoy each other's company with food, conversation, and laughter. ] Sign Up online or in the Narthex. So just don't come to the Feast (Holy Communion) on a Sunday morning but to a Feast at another time. The deadline to sign up is January 31st. |

Lenten Worship SeriesDare to Dream What’s your dream? We’re often told to dream big and boldly and seize the day, but are you dreaming about what God wants? There are many passages in scripture in which God speaks in dreams. These visions become holy encounters to help guide God’s people in their lives. Join us in person or livestream for a midweek Lenten series called Dare to Dream as our congregation seeks to discern God’s vision for this world – how we see it for ourselves and then how we make the dream a reality. Each Wednesday service is preceded by a meal from 5:30pm - 6:15pm followed by worship @ 6:30pm. 2/22 Vision and Repentance - Ash Wednesday no meal For more infomation visit:

Exploring the Bible TogetherZoom Bible Study every Tuesday from 6:30pm -7:30pm In our “Exploring the Bible Together” study, we meet by Zoom as a small group for about 45 minutes each week. Our study covers a wide range of topics, examining more closely the history, content, context, development, message, and interpretation of the Bible. As we do this, we grow in our understanding of the relevance and application of the Bible for our lives today.
We have begun a new study series on the Gospel of Matthew. This church year the majority of our gospel readings will come from Matthew. It is a beautiful writing which shares the story of Jesus in a powerful way.
Anyone is welcome to join us - no experience with Bible study (or even the Bible) is necessary!

SEEKERS AND SPONGES: meets on Sunday mornings @ 8:30AM in-person and ZOOM Join Seekers and Sponges to discuss the DVD Series: "Embracing Emergence Christianity: Phyllis Tickle on the Church's Next Rummage Sale". Author, historian and keen cultural observer Phyllis Tickle invites us to join her in examining the changing face of Christianity and culture. Phyllis surveys 2000 years of Western history, identifying the great upheavals that occur in Western culture and Christianity every 500 years. The last was the Great Reformation of the 1500’s; the next is happening now. What are the implications of this “Great Emergence,” both culturally and spiritually? What are the key questions and issues that need to be addressed? Where might we be headed next? And, perhaps most importantly, where are you, at this moment? Might you be an emergence Christian? Each of the six sessions in this series begins with a 10 -15 minute video presentation by Phyllis Tickle and then our group will discuss her perspectives. Click HERE to join by Zoom. PEACE PRAYER MINISTRY: Did you make any resolutions for the New Year? Many of us have a desire to have a more intimate prayer life, so might I suggest carving out more time for prayer and reflection? Peace Lutheran Church has an active Prayer Ministry. We have an Email Prayer Chain, we have a Zoom “Sweet Hour of Prayer” Group that meets every Monday morning at 9:00 a.m. and we have a Prayer loom that is included in our Sunday morning prayers. I would like to welcome new members to join our email Prayer Chain and our Monday morning Prayer Group. We have experienced some amazing, answered prayers this year and we have given comfort to many of our members in their times of distress. Please consider being a part of our Prayer Ministry in this new year. You can email me at beckyvoges@yahoo.com for more information. Our weekly Prayer Group Zooms every Monday at 9:00 am via Zoom only. Click HERE to join by Zoom. We have a devotion, share prayer requests and pray over each request. The group is led by Becky Voges. If you would like to be a part of the group, please email Becky (beckyvoges@yahoo.com). All prayer requests will be kept confidential. Prayer Chain Requests - email Becky (beckyvoges@yahoo.com). Three Expressions of the Church
We are part of one church body organized in three expressions — congregations, synods, and the churchwide organization. Each expression has its particular functions but all three together share a common mission of doing God’s work in the world and proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ. Together, they ensure a solid foundation of leadership, active involvement in communities, opportunities for dialogue and diverse perspectives, creative partnerships, and support for members and ministries of the ELCA.
