Seekers and Sponges Sunday Morning ClassSunday 9:00 AM Deacon Andrew will be leading a discussion of the DVD series "How Lutherans Interpret the Bible" by Dr. Mark Allan Powell, a Lutheran pastor and Bible professor at Trinity Lutheran Seminary, Columbus, Ohio. This is a 7 session DVD series in which Dr. Powell invites you to explore seven important questions about Lutherans and the Bible. He does not prescribe “the Lutheran way" to read the Bible nor does he dismiss the way you may have come to understand the Bible. Instead Dr. Powell presents a variety of Lutheran perspectives for interpreting the Bible. Through Dr. Powell's rich discussions you will discover answers to questions you have always had about the Bible.
We will be discussing the 7 session series over the next 2 - 3 months, but you may join at any point in the series. You may review last week's Episode 5 Determining Right From Wrong HERE. Please click HERE to preview Sunday's Episode 6 The Many Meanings of the Bible.

Exploring the Bible TogetherTuesday Night at 6:30 PM Join Pastor Jake Fain, Deacon Andrew More, and Pastor Paul Miller as we explore the Bible together. This week we are starting “Luke-Acts”, a new series for our Exploring The Bible Together videos. The Gospel of Luke is also the Bible Book of the Month in the Peace December newsletter. We hope that, as we prepare for the season of Advent and then Christmas, you will open Luke’s gospel and hear afresh and with renewed hope the story of Jesus coming into our world.
This is the first in a five-part series on the Gospel of Luke. We explore the amazing events surrounding the birth of Jesus. The humble conditions of his family and their low status in Israelite society foreshadow the upside-down nature of Jesus’ kingdom. Go to https://bibleproject.com
Exploring The Bible Zoom Bible Study
Each Tuesday from 6:30 pm – 7:00 pm we will have an open discussion of one of the Bible Project videos. This week it will be helpful for you to watch the YouTube video of Luke-Acts Episode 1 first, but not required. We’ll spend about 30 minutes unpacking the video and opening it up for questions, insights, comments, etc. This link will work for all subsequent Tuesdays, so keep it handy. Anyone is welcome to join us! No experience with Bible study (or even the Bible) is necessary! Join us as we explore the Bible together!
