Sunday's Preview
Read Mark 1:14-20 Jesus calls the disciples to come and follow, and immediately they drop everything for him. What would make you drop everything and pursue an entirely new life? Why is it so hard for us to let go of our livelihood and follow God with everything? Jesus invites his followers to repent (not just to turn around morally), rather to see reality from a whole new perspective. What new perspective is Jesus inviting you to see? |

Weekly COVID-19 Update
We continue in Phase 1 of our Regathering Guidelines as hospitalization percentage moves over 20%. Comal county has now moved into limiting businesses to 50% occupancy as well. We lost a member from COVID this last week. Please keep Lewis Westerman’s family in your prayers. We are tracking members that we are aware of that have tested positive to date: · 1 death If you have tested positive or know of anyone within our congregation that has tested positive, please notify the church promptly. We will be doing contract tracing and let others know of who might be at risk. In this map you will see the highlighted area, Area P. This is an exceptionally large area which includes San Antonio. The current statistics as of January 19, 2021: Hospitalizations: 23.19% this number continues to rise in our area. There's expectation that the positivity rate will continue to climb through January. The Peace Regathering Team will be monitoring the daily COVID statistics and will continue to advise the church council on changes that impact our in-person worship services and church community. Our Peace Regathering Guidelines are modeled after the State of Texas opening guidelines. Instead of using active cases, which have proven to be difficult to gauge, we are monitoring the percentage of hospitalizations. |

Exploring the Bible TogetherZoom on Tuesdays @ 6:30PM Luke-Acts Episode 9 Bound for Rome Acts 21-28 Join Pastor Jake Fain, Deacon Andrew More, and Pastor Paul Miller as we explore the Bible together. We are currently discussing a Luke-Acts series of videos. The books of Luke and Acts are actually two accompanying works by the same author. Together, they form one cohesive narrative about the life and ministry of Jesus and the birth of the early Church. Check out this week's episode by clicking on the title above to view Luke-Acts Episode 9 Bound for Rome Acts 21-28. In the final video in our Acts series, we trace Paul’s final journey to Jerusalem and then into a Roman prison. But paradoxically, Paul’s suffering leads him into the heart of the Roman empire where he gets to announce God’s Kingdom over the nations. If you would like to watch last week's episode Luke-Acts Episode 8 Paul's Missionary Journeys Acts 13-20, click HERE. Go to https://bibleproject.com Exploring The Bible Zoom Bible Study
Each Tuesday from 6:30 pm – 7:00 pm we will have an open discussion of one of the Bible Project videos. This week it will be helpful for you to watch the YouTube video of Luke-Acts Episode 9 above first, but not required. We’ll spend about 30 minutes unpacking the video and opening it up for questions, insights, comments, etc. This link will work for all subsequent Tuesdays, so keep it handy. Anyone is welcome to join us! No experience with Bible study (or even the Bible) is necessary! Join us as we explore the Bible together!
