Love All
We love because He first loved us. – 1 John 4:19
Ways to Love All this year:
•    Donate the money you saved from spending less.
•    Invite someone to church with you this week. Share a meal together after.
•    Be the person with an extra dose of patience this week. Listen well to others, offer grace.
•    Read Matthew 25. Notice how much Jesus cares about the way we love and serve others.
•    Get involved with serving opportunities at Peace. Just to name a few: Family Promise, First Footing Shelter, SOS Foodbank, Angel Tree Gifts, Live Nativity, Prayer Team, Peace’s Little Pantry, Compassion Visits,…)
•    Pray for families around the world that are in need: single moms, refugees, villages without clean water, the homeless in your city.
•    Find a local organization to volunteer at. Go with your family, friends, or small group. Then talk about the experience and see what you learned.

Sunday’s Preview – The Christmas Story

Sunday’s Preview – The Christmas Story

Read John 1:1-18 and Luke 2:1-20

Read John 1:1-18 and Luke 2:1-20

This Christmas, the good news is told through many voices. Angels sing hope into the night. Shepherds share wonder from the fields. Prophets speak promises long awaited. Magi journey with faith and courage. Together, their voices tell the story of a God who comes near.

Join us this Sunday for a Christmas Program that invites us to hear the familiar story anew—and to discover our own place in God’s unfolding song of love.

The Longest Night Worship

The Longest Night Worship

Not everyone feels merry at Christmas. For many, this season carries the weight of grief, stress, illness, or memories that make joy feel complicated. If you are longing for a quieter space—one of honesty, comfort, and gentle hope—we invite you to our Longest Night (Blue Christmas) Service on Sunday, December 21 at 6:30 PM at Peace Lutheran Church.

This worship offers a place to breathe, to pray, to remember, and to rest in God’s presence on the darkest night of the year. Whether you are grieving a loved one, walking through a difficult season, or simply needing a calmer Christmas moment, you are welcome.

Come as you are.
Come with whatever you carry.
Christ meets us in the dark—with compassion, peace, and light.

We hope you’ll join us.

Mission Spotlight December 2025

Mission Spotlight December 2025

Communities in Schools South Central Texas

Sunday,  December 28th, Peace's Mission Spotlight is Communities in Schools.  Communities in Schools South Central Texas has been empowering students for over 30 years, helping them succeed in school and life.

Founded by the Greater New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce, CIS is the only campus based nonprofit in our partner districts, reaching over 43,000 students across 60 schools.

CIS places caring adults directly inside schools to connect students and families with vital resources, working hand-in-hand with parents, caregivers, and educators to remove barriers and unlock student potential.

Through daily support from professional site coordinators, Communities in Schools provides over 4,000 students each year with services like mentoring, mental health support, basic needs assistance, tutoring, and college prep.

In partnership with 300+ local businesses, agencies, churches, and volunteers, CIS connects students and families to resources that address academic, emotional, and real-life challenges. This model transforms lives by surrounding students with the support they need to thrive--in the classroom and beyond.

Ways to help this worthwhile mission, donate to or shop in their Thrift Shop, become a volunteer, join their student mentor program and change a child's life,  include this Mission and the students they serve in your prayers, a dedicated offering will be collected on Sunday, December 28th.

Peace,
Karen Laughlin Service Chair
