Sunday's Worship Preview

Sunday's Worship Preview

Read John 15:1-8

On the night of his arrest, Jesus taught his disciples about the relationship they would have with him. He teaches them that apart from him they wither.  Rather they are to remain and abide in him, and they would bear much fruit.

How do you abide with Jesus in your life?

What does it mean that you don’t have to bear fruit by yourself, rather it’s God working in you that bears good fruit?  How does that shape your faith understanding?

Worship Schedule

Worship Schedule

8am worship in the Peace parking lot in your car using a broadcast on a radio frequency.

10am worship on the front lawn livestreamed or outdoor, in-person.  Bring your own chair. Please continue to wear masks for in-person activities.  If there is inclement weather, this service will be available only online.

This is our worship schedule until the building is renovated and the sanctuary available for use.

Southwestern Texas Synod Assembly 2021

Southwestern Texas Synod Assembly 2021

Save the date: June 4 - June 6

Peace Lutheran is a part of the Southwestern Texas Synod and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

Each year the synod holds an assembly, much like a congregational annual meeting, where members come together to learn, to share stories of God’s work in the world, to elect leaders, and establish a missional budget to advance God’s work together.

The 2021 Synod Assembly runs from June 4-6 and the theme is “Live Expectantly, Love Abundantly”, centering around John 4, the story of the Samaritan women at the well.  Click HERE for more information and for a link to register.

You may join online at www.facebook.com/swtsynod and tune into the work of the church.

Three Expressions of the Church

We are part of one church body organized in three expressions — congregations, synods, and the churchwide organization. Each expression has its particular functions but all three together share a common mission of doing God’s work in the world and proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ. Together, they ensure a solid foundation of leadership, active involvement in communities, opportunities for dialogue and diverse perspectives, creative partnerships, and support for members and ministries of the ELCA.
